This horse-themed museum was founded back in 1896 and falls under the category of specialized museum institutions. The museum collects and performs presentations of objects and documents with regard to horses and horse sports in cooperation with and under the professional supervision of the Historical Archive and City Museum of Subotica. 

 

Bearing in mind the specificity of the undertaking, the Author of Reconstruction and Interior Design, Architect Srdjan Milanovic, turned special attention to one new authentic dimension in regard to museum interior through one completely new and systematic organization of the setting by including adequate illumination of both the interior and exhibits, new materialization, as well as various different details coupled with architectural elements of the original building.
